“Digitalisation of water industry by innovative graduate water education” project is supported by Erasmus+ Programme Knowledge Alliances.
As a result of the Erasmus + Programme Knowledge Alliances Call, which received 216 project applications across Europe, 30 projects are supported by Erasmus + Programme Knowledge Alliances. ITUProf. Dr. Dinçer Topacık National Research Center on Membran Technologies is one of the partners of the project. Prof.Dr.İsmail Koyuncu is the coordinator of the project. The project aims to meet the need for cooperation of water experts and technologists to improve the sector's progress on SDG6 to ensure water availability and sustainable management. A Digital Water Curriculum will be developed in collaboration with industry to reduce both water-related skills and digital skills that mismatches in the water industry. The objectives of the project are to develop new, multidisciplinary approaches to teaching and learning, to encourage entrepreneurship in both sectors, and to increase knowledge and skills. The project offers innovative elements through modern approaches in teaching and learning, such as curiosity-focused training, collaborative mentoring and remote concurrent supervision, group creativity, and the use of digital tools to encourage virtual mobility.The plan is to include different actors in the water sector, which has been lacking to this day. The distribution of countries in the partnership has been selected, taking into account the regional differences.
