Erasmus+ Grundtvig Programme is Being Spread in Istanbul with the Turkish Eurodesk Network:

“Erasmus+ Grundtvig Programme is Being Spread in Istanbul with the Turkish Eurodesk Network” was funded by Turkish National Agency and coordinated by EU Centre Research Office from 01 April 2014-31 October 2014.

Objectives of the project: To promote and increase the awareness of EU Education and Youth Programmes conducted by Turkish National Agency and the EU Opportunities offered by these programmes.

The Special Objective of the Project: It is to inform the employees of various museums, research centers, libraries, cultural institutions and arts institutions operating in Istanbul about the Erasmus + Adult Education Program and its opportunities, and to increase the participation of employees and institutions in Adult Education Program projects as a result of the awareness activities.

IST YOUTH Project:

The youth project titled "Removing the Barriers to Youth Employment" within the scope of 4.3 Partnership Establishment Activity, which is among the Actions of Youth Programs was coordinated by the ITU EU Center Research Office on 12-17 November 2012 at Istanbul Technical University, Maslak Campus, Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center.

The main purpose of the project is to enable some institutions participating in the project to decide to become coordinators and / or partners in new projects with the project ideas they have developed, to increase awareness of youth unemployment with new partners they will include in their projects, and to make continuous efforts to solve this problem.

The partners of the said project are institutions that face the youth unemployment problem in their own countries and are aware of the need for multi-dimensional work across Europe to solve this problem.

In this project, which included 24 participants from 11 European countries, the ideas and support of the countries were received on the common road map to be determined for the youth unemployment problem.

The issues to be focused on during the project are, the impact of EU enlargement on youth unemployment, the attitudes and activities of European institutions against youth unemployment, the attitude of EU countries on youth unemployment, the European Union Employment Policy, Europe 2020 Strategy, Youth on the Move, Free Movement of Workers, Recognition of Diplomas and Certificates. Social Exclusion, National Action Plans on Employment prepared by Member States, European Voluntary Service, European Platform Against Poverty and Social Exclusion, economic recession in Europe.
